Madeira Wind Birds

Madeira Half Day Birdwatching

Meet the Southeast of Madeira where several endemic bird species and subspecies enjoy their habitat with a wonderful view. From sea level to up to 120 meters of altitude you have the chance to observe some migrant birds, like little egrets and turnstones, the funny Berthelot's Pipit, the shy Rock Sparrow and the Canaries and Goldfinches singing together to celebrate the spectacular sightseeing of the eastern tip of Madeira.

Going up to a fresher spot the Buzzards, Kestrels and Swifts will watch you from the blue sky. Reaching the 800 meters of altitude the Madeira Firecrest and the bluish Chaffinch will brighten up your day with the curious Robins and the hidden Greenfinches controlling your moves.

This tour is mainly by car with short walks on the spots to look for the species. It is ideal for everyone who likes to join sightseeing with some nature details as birds, plants and butterflies.
