Shock mitigation seats on 'Oceanodroma'!

Shock mitigation seats on 'Oceanodroma'!

The main problem of riding on a rigid-hulled inflatable boats (rhibs) are the bumps of the boat when it jumps waves. It is proven that the effect of the constant impact to the body experienced during the operation of high speed boats can substantially can cause harm to the spinal cord and lower back of the crew and passengers. So in order to reduce whole-body vibration and shock inflicted by the boat ride on rough seas, especially on the Zino’s Petrel pelagic Expeditions which are more offshore trips, we made a huge investment on shock-mitigation seats for the ‘Oceanodroma’ rhib.

With these seats with suspension, which flexes in 3 dimensions for whiplash and port-starboard impact protection not only we guarantee the safeness and better comfort of our clients and ourselves as we are now the only boat for tourist activities in Madeira which complies with the Directive 2002/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 June 2002. This EU directive sets minimum requirements for the protection of people from risks to their health and safety arising or likely to arise from exposure to mechanical vibration. We had to make big efforts to accomplish this investment of nearly 42 thousand Euros the 16 Shark jockey suspension seats but it was all thinking about the wellness of our customers and, of course, ours as well! Now we really need you to book our sea trips (Bird, dolphin & whale watching trips and the Zino’s Petrel Pelagic Expeditions) so that we can monetize them! :)
