..a) Present a negative result to a RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 test provided that the analysed sample it is not older than 72 hours prior to departure;

..b) Upon arrival at the airport, do a RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 test carried out by the Madeira health authority and remain in isolation, at the hotel or lodging unit you are booked, until the negative result of the test is obtained (estimated maximum of 12 hours).

Summing up, if you are travelling to Madeira you must take a ‘covid-19’ test less than 72 hours before you travel or at arrival at any of Madeira airports.

Regarding UK rules, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office issued that from July 4th, Madeira and Azores archipelagos are exempt of the FCO advice against all non-essential international travel.
